Fulham striker Moussa Dembele is undergoing a medical with
Tottenham with a view to completing a permanent move, according to Sky sources.
The 19-year-old striker will be loaned back to the
Championship side for the rest of the season as part of the deal.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has been searching for
back-up options to Harry Kane in the January transfer window but Fulham, who
are 19th in the Championship table and four points above the relegation zone,
have been reluctant to allow Dembele to leave.
However, with Dembele's contract due to expire in the
summer, Fulham have been convinced to do a deal for their prized asset, who has
scored 11 goals in all competitions so far this season.
The deal is similar to the one Tottenham struck last
February for Dele Alli, when they allowed him to remain with MK Dons for the
remainder of the season before joining up with them last summer.
Dembele joined Fulham from Paris Saint-Germain as a
16-year-old in 2012 before making his debut the following year against West Ham
in the Premier League.
