An FA statement on Monday evening confirmed, "Tony Pulis has been charged by The FA following the game against Leicester City on Saturday [31 October 2015].
"The West Bromwich Albion Head Coach is alleged to have used language and/or behaviour in or around the tunnel area after the fixture which amounts to improper conduct.
"He has until 6pm on 5 November 2015 to respond to the charge."
Rickie Lambert scored a penalty to pull the score-line back to 3-2 in the closing stages but Pulis was feeling aggrieved after referee Anthony Taylor had failed to award his Baggies side another two penalty for perceived fouls on Jonny Evans and Darren Fletcher.
"The referee should have given us a penalty and sent their man off. It shouldn't happen at this level - the standard of refereeing should be better," Pulis said to the BBC, specifically of the first call that didn't go his way.
"[Referees' chief] Mike Riley should be on the phone asking why we weren't given two (more) penalties. I've had a go in the tunnel with him and I apologise about that. I should be writing my report but I do hope they look at it."
Television replays also appeared to show that Riyad Mahrez was perhaps marginally offside when the Algerian international scored Leicester's second goal.
Chris Brunt told WBA.co.uk, "I didn't think much of it (the potential offside ) at the time. It's probably a difficult one with the ball deflecting up in the air and so many different things happening all at once.
"Sometimes you get those decisions sometimes you don't. If he was offside I am sure it was very tight, but we can't look for excuses."
