Mourinho fined £40,000 and handed one match stadium ban by FA

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has received a one-match stadium ban and hit with a £40,000 fine after admitting to a misconduct charge after he was sent to the stands during his club's defeat against West Ham last month.

The FA have, however, decided to drop the misconduct charges against Chelsea coach Silvino Louro, who was also dismissed by referee Jon Moss during that bad tempered affair.
Mourinho already had a suspended stadium ban hanging over him after a previous charge for implying bias on the part of match officials following a 3-1 loss against Southampton, which has now been applied.

An FA statement confirmed, "Following an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing today, Jose Mourinho has been given a one-match stadium suspension with immediate effect and fined £40,000.

"The Chelsea manager admitted an FA charge of misconduct regarding his language and/or behaviour towards the match officials in or around the dressing room area during half-time of the game against West Ham United on 24 October 2015.
"With regard to Chelsea coach Silvino Louro, who denied an FA misconduct charge in relation to the same game, The FA, having considered further representation, withdrew the formal charge of improper conduct but reminded him of his responsibilities."

Mourinho's troubles continued over the weekend as he watched his side lose against Liverpool, after which he gave a bizarre post-match interview where he answered every question with, "I have nothing to say".
