The outbreak of the disease has now reached 5 regions.Greater Accra, Central, Western, Northern, Upper East regions are yet to record any case.Meanwhile, four new cases of meningococcal meningitis have also been recorded in the Volta Region. This brings to five the total number of confirmed cases in the region. About 160 meningitis cases have so far been recorded nationwide.At least 37 have died from the life-threatening infectious disease that causes inflammation of the layers that surround the brain and spinal cord.
