On Saturday the president of Ghana John Dramani Mahama said he would not welcome any form of violence in 2016 elections. In his words--“I am known to be a man of peace and I am committed to peace. I won’t be agent of violence in the elections,” he said.
He made this statement at the end of their 3-day presidential retreat at HO. The president went on to say he appreciates concerns from stakeholder to maintain the peace we have before and after the general elections.
The retreat discussed challenges
facing the country and code of conduct for ministers among others.
