Leicester City have completed their second signing of the January transfer window in the shape of 21-year-old Ghanaian defender Daniel Amartey, who joins from FC Copenhagen in Denmark.
The fee, while officially undisclosed, is believed to be in the region of £5m.
An agreement over price has been in place all week after Copenhagen released a statement outlining that a sale was expected to go through.
Amartey has since agreed personal terms and has put pen to paper on a four and a half year contract that will keep him at the King Power Stadium until 2020.
Speaking to LCFC.co.uk, the Foxes' newest recruit said, "It's a great pleasure to join Leicester City. I know the club have been interested in signing me for some time and that was a big part of my decision to come here.
"All over Europe, people are talking about Leicester City and how well the club is doing in the Premier League. The team plays exciting, attacking football and I'm looking forward to being part of it."
Amartey, who is an international colleague of Jeffrey Schlupp, trained with his new club-mates for the first time on Friday.
