Fire has raged through portions of the Berekum Senior High School (SHS) in the Brong Ahafo Region, destroying property worth thousands of Ghana cedis.
The fire, according to Nana Odei Nyarko, the Accountant of the school, destroyed one of the boys dormitories of the school.
He indicated that the students in block B of the boys dormitory who reported to school have lost all their properties and provisions.
The Accountant added that, they quickly called the fire service as the fire was spreading to other properties of the school.
“The distraught students are contemplating going back home after the incident. The situation is very sad,” he told Adom News Friday.
Nana Odei Nyarko said the headmaster of Berekum SHS, Peter Ayensu is schedule to meet the students to calm them down.
Meanwhile, the cause of the fire outbreak is still known.
