Crystal Palace have announced that they've signed
former Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor on a
deal lasting until the end of the season.
News broke on social media earlier in the day on Tuesday but
the club confirmed the transfer later in the afternoon, and revealed the Togo
star would wear the number 25 shirt during his stay at Palace. Adebayor had
been a free agent for most of the current campaign after being released by
Tottenham
Adebayor was however unable to transfer to another club
after his Spurs release until January, as he was initially cast off by the club
outside of the transfer window.

Manager Alan Pardew has yet to speak on the
player's arrival since the deal was confirmed, but according to the Independent he recently stated he has no concerns
over the player's fitness or attitude.
He said: “Whenever he has played against me he has been
totally committed and he is a dangerous world player.
“You have only got to look at his clubs. For whatever reason
there has been a fall-out at Spurs but he remains a player that can have great
impact and would improve us.
“And I have had difficult players before, non-more difficult
than Hatem Ben Arfa at Newcastle. If I can deal with him, I can deal with
Adebayor for sure.”
