Power to GBC at Tarkwa in the western region has been cut by ECG due to their inabillity to pay their bills.
The Regional Public Relations Officer Philip Osei Bonsu, told Starr News’ that the state broadcaster owes close to Gh¢ 300,000.
Bonsu said all measures taken to make the state broad caster pay has been unsuccessful hence the need to cut power to its mast.
the disconnection means people of Tarkwa and its environs will not enjoy both radio and television programmes from GBC.
“We have also given the University of Mines and Technology to also
settle its debt of Gh¢1,138,405 by the end of October or face
disconnection,” Bonsu said
