Coutinho double Seals win for Liverpool

Jurgen Klopp guided Liverpool to their first league win under his management with a 3-1 comeback victory over Premier League champions Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.
Two goals from Philippe Coutinho and a late strike from Christian Benteke cancelled out Ramires' opening goal as Liverpool won their first game in the Premier League under Jurgen Klopp.

Chelsea's defeat means this is their worst start to a league season since 1978/79 with Mourinho losing nine of his last 17 games in all competitions compared to just four defeats in 54 games last season.
Mourinho, who had only taken three Premier League wins in ten games prior to kick off, relegated Nemanja Matic and Cesc Fabregas to the bench, while Diego Costa - despite an injury to his rib - took a starting place. Klopp, however, selected no recognised central striker and instead put Roberto Firmino through the middle.

But while the Brazilian was looking for his first goal for the club, it was a fellow countryman of his who broke the deadlock. Chelsea started well, and after a neat back-heel from Diego Costa set Cesar Azpilicueta free down the left side, he lofted a cross into the box. The ball deflected, but Ramires was on hand to move past the static Alberto Moreno to head home.

As it turned out though, that was Chelsea's only shot of the first half. Liverpool, despite falling behind, bossed possession and the reigning champions were forced into their shell. Chelsea spent most of the opening half camped on the edge of their own box as the visitors probed for an opportunity, though no major chance came their way.

Substitute Christian Benteke nodded the ball back into the path of Coutinho in the box after a long ball forward from Mamadou Sakho, and after killing the ball brilliantly the Brazilian slotted home at the near post. Chelsea looked beaten, and after Alberto Moreno was denied by Begovic after a run and shot from the left side, Benteke added another in the final five minutes to put Jose Mourinho on the brink of the sack.
