The musical group R2Bees who are known for their bangers are out with a new one this time around they call it Concert Party.
They say this song will take highlife to the world.
The group is targeting accomplishments with highlife after chalking huge successes with Afrobeat music.
For some time, the duo – made up of Faisal Hakeem (Paedae da Pralem) and Rashid Mugeez (Mugeez) – has revolutionised their style by incorporating more highlife signatures to their music.
The song, produced by award winning producer, Killbeatz, is a classic folk highlife tune which is fun to listen to. R2Bees goes back into the past to revisit the days when music carried strong stories and messages.
The group said, in a statement to Myjoyonline.com, that, ‘Concert Party’ talks about “a guy who makes money and blows it without taking care of his family.” The song advises “young girls who go sleeping around and eventually get [themselves] pregnant,” to desist from the practice.
R2Bees said ‘Concert Party’ is their way of portraying “local highlife to the world and to bring back the old concert party days.”
