Arrest warrant issued for Chelsea starlet over alleged sexual assault

Police in Toronto have issued arrest warrants for two Brazilian footballers, including 21-year-old Chelsea forward Lucas Piazon, over an alleged sexual assault which took place in the summer.

It's reported that the victim and her friend met the pair at a nightclub in Toronto. The group left the club together and went back to a residence, where the victim went to sleep. It's alleged that the two men then entered her bedroom and committed the assault, before she woke up and the two footballers left.
Arrest warrants have been issued for both men, with authorities now beginning the extradition process to bring the second player, Andrey da Silva Ventura of Brazilian club Botafogo, to Canada for the investigation. Police are also working with international authorities to be notified if the player attempts to travel to another country.

Piazon's warrant differs though, meaning that he cannot be extradited to Canada but will be arrested if he enters the province of Ontario. Police inspector Joanna Beaven-Desjardins did not provide details of why the two men's warrants differed.
