Six people have been arrested for their alleged involvement in selling a two-week old baby in south-eastern Nigeria.
According to police in the country’s Cross River state, those arrested included the baby's mother, who said extreme poverty forced to sell her child for around $90 (£60).

Local police told BBC Hausa service that they have opened an investigation into the incident. The British broadcasters’ correspondents say the issue of so-called baby factories was still prevalent in the region.

Two years ago, 17 pregnant teenage girls and 11 babies were rescued from a house in another south-eastern state of Imo.
