Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Okyere, has earned a nomination for Best New Actress category at this year’s Golden Icons Academy Movie Awards (GIAMA).
Yvonne Okyere’s nomination comes barely two months after she received an award for Most Promising Actress at the 2015 Golden Movie Awards for her role in Love Regardless.
‘Love Regardless’ is also nominated in six categories including Best Director and Best Motion Picture awards. Other Ghanaian movie stars nominated are Majid Michel for Best Actor award and Jackie Appiah for Best Actress award.
The rest are John Dumelo, Van Vicker, Roselyn Ngissah, Lydia Forson, and Yvonne Nelson.
This year’s GIAMA event will be hosted by Nigerian comedian and actor AY and is set to captivate a lively audience on October 17, 2015 in Houston, Texas.
With the culmination of several years of experience as an ace stand-up comedian/ host coupled with his top-notch comedic acting skills, AY is sure to bring alive the GIAMA stage on October 17 with an outstanding performance to the excitement of the audience.
