Sheikh Dr. Amin Bonsu, National Chairman of the Mission said, the increasing leakages and cancellation of examinations at the basic and second cycle levels, posed a major threat to the already deteriorating educational system in the country.
He appealed to the leadership of WAEC to find a permanent solution to this precarious situation, which makes students suffer after spending many years in school.
He believed that the majority of the blame of these leakages must be laid at the doorsteps of WAEC, since it was the institution which conducted these examinations.
Sheikh Dr. Bonsu was speaking at the just-ended Fifth National Youth Conference and swearing-in of national executives of the Ghana Muslim Mission Youth (GMMY), held at Enyan Denkyira in the Central Region on the theme: ‘Building a Disciplined and Empowered Youth Through Religion.’
He further urged the youth to be law-abiding citizens, and lead lives according to the rich Islamic and societal values.
He asked them to eschew all forms of immoral and indecent behaviour, including cheating, fornication, gayism and lesbianism, smoking, selfishness, and laziness.
