DOCTORS CALL
OF STRIKE- TO RESUME WORK ON MONDAY 24th August
.
After a few weeks of playing hide and seek with Mahama
government and at the expense of over 500 Ghanaian life’s our good doctors have
thought it wise to resume work.
I guess they realized the uselessness of playing with a
government that is ready to play, or maybe they finally remembered that pesky Hippocratic
thingy they swear before they start work.
Either way, they would resume work from next Monday.
A statement signed by the president and General Secretary of
GMA, Dr. Kwabena Opoku-Adusei and Dr.
Frank Serebour, informed this decision. They said the appeals of the general
public and that of some eminent organizations and individuals informed this
decision.
However, the statement assured their members they would
remain in negotiations with government in order to get the conditions of
service they went on strike for.
